Greetings from Our CIC President
I have been asked to lead CIC for the next two years and have accepted the honor. It is with profound respect for all of those who labor on this board and others who labor in their homes and workplaces and who take their Christian faith seriously.
This is not my first time “in the barrel.” As a co-founder of this group (dating back to 1989) I have taken an active role in many positions with CIC. This is probably my third time being asked to lead the group. There are some on this board who have been on the journey from the beginning. Others have been with us for a shorter period. For all of us it is a labor of love for the Lord to serve our industries, our colleagues, our families and our friends.
We have embarked on a deep-dive look into our mission and are bringing new things online to serve and engage our members. We are also excited about the new members of the CIC board. One-quarter of the Board are new to the position. That’s new and creative ideas being added to an, already, dynamic group. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the opportunities that lay ahead of us and the efforts being taken to maximize them.
An advisory board is being formed by our Immediate Past-President, Susane Newell. This is another way to engage membership and allow the advisory board’s enthusiasm, time and talents to be utilized for the Kingdom. We look forward to their contributions.
In the Bible we find this in Colossians 1:17; “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” This might be a great way to think of our lives as we move forward facing new challenges or as we are faced with turbulent changes. Our faith shall sustain us. He is enough.
So, here I am ready to take the lead on a group where I am humbled by the talents of the men and women who serve beside me. I hope I can do them, you and Him justice. Feel free to contact me if you feel you’d like to contribute to the group with your time, talent, treasure or ideas. CIC is in need of all of these, but most of all we covet your prayers. We are here to serve you."

CIC History
A group of forward-looking Christians saw a lack of Christian connections within the cable industry, and took the initiative to create a conduit to make these connections. These connections originally took place at the major Cable Television shows and events, including the Western Show, the SCTE Cable-Tech Expo, and the NCTA Show. All were invited to attend the breakfasts, which sometimes include a speaker and always include good fellowship and support.
Founded in 1989, Christians in Communications is an organization designed to provide Christians affiliated with the cable television and telecommunications industry an opportunity for fellowship with other Christians. Members come together to build up one another in Christ, to promote Christian ethics in the workplace and industry, and to provide an outreach to members' communities and the cable television industry at large.
Christians in Cable provides opportunities for members to meet at various cable television industry shows, providing an inspirational message, enabling members to fellowship with other Christians, and often featuring a renowned Christian speaker. Local groups hold similar meetings in their home communities.
